Personality Assessments. Build Your Team.
Understand how your people work. Then teach them to work together.
A complete assessment of your team, then a full team training day on how each person communicates, decides and works, and how to work with the people who are wired differently. DISC, Motivators, Emotional Intelligence, 360-degree feedback and more, delivered by certified Business Performance Coaches for sales teams, leadership teams and whole companies.
Why teams do this
Most team problems are communication problems wearing a disguise
Two capable people, two different wiring diagrams, and a conversation that goes wrong every week. Once a team can see the styles in the room, most of the friction has a name and a fix.
Communication
Everyone pulling in the same direction
The fast decider and the careful analyst stop reading each other as careless and slow. Meetings get shorter and clearer because people know who needs the detail and who needs the headline.
Leadership
Managers who adapt instead of repeat
A manager who knows their own style, and the styles of the people they lead, stops managing everyone the way they would like to be managed and starts getting the best from each one.
Hiring
The new hire who delivers what you expected
Benchmark the role, assess the candidates, and interview for the behaviours the seat needs. Fewer expensive surprises in month three.
What DISC is
Understand before you prescribe
It is one of the habits of highly effective people, and it is the whole point of DISC. How do you understand someone if you do not know who you are talking to? How do you lead, sell to or coach a person you do not understand? DISC is a short, plain-language assessment that describes how a person naturally behaves and communicates, across four styles. Nobody is one letter. Everyone is a blend, and the blend is what makes them easy or hard to work with until you can read it.
D
Dominance
Direct, decisive, driven by results. Wants the point, the decision and the next step. Reads as blunt to some; reads as clear to others.
I
Influence
Outgoing, persuasive, energised by people. Wants to talk it through and bring everyone along. Reads as scattered to some; reads as inspiring to others.
S
Steadiness
Patient, loyal, consistent. Wants stability, fair warning and time to adjust. Reads as slow to some; reads as dependable to others.
C
Conscientiousness
Precise, careful, driven by accuracy. Wants the detail, the data and the reasons. Reads as picky to some; reads as thorough to others.
How it builds a strong team. Most conflict at work is not about the work. It is a D giving an S a one-line instruction and wondering why it stalled, or a C asking an I for the detail and getting a story instead. Once a team knows its own styles and can read each other’s, the same people communicate differently: the manager adapts the message to the person, the salesperson adapts the pitch to the buyer, and the owner stops repeating themselves.
That is why we assess everyone and work through the results together in one room. A report in a drawer changes nothing. A team that can say “I am a high S, give me a day with it” and be understood changes everything.
What we deliver
The assessments, delivered under the Avid name
Validated, research-backed assessments from one of North America’s largest assessment providers, administered and debriefed by certified Business Performance Coaches. Online, about fifteen minutes each, with a written report and a conversation about what it means.
Behaviour
DISC
How a person naturally behaves and how they adapt at work: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Conscientiousness. The foundation for every team conversation about communication.
Behaviour and drive
DISC + Motivators
Pairs how someone acts with why: the seven motivators behind their decisions. The difference between a person who can do the job and a person who will.
Emotional intelligence
EIQ
How a person recognises and manages their own emotions and reads other people’s, the skill that separates a competent manager from one people want to follow.
360-degree feedback
DISC 360°, EIQ 360°, Leadership Effectiveness 360°
Anonymous feedback from peers, managers and direct reports set against the person’s own view. How a leader actually lands, and the gap between self-image and effect.
Sales teams
Sales IQ Plus
Sales effectiveness measured across eight areas, so a sales manager knows exactly which skill to coach in each salesperson rather than running the same training for everyone.
Hiring and development
Hiring & Selection, Learning Styles
Role benchmarks and candidate comparisons for hiring, and learning-style profiles so training lands the way each person actually learns.
The team training day
One day. Every person assessed. Every person understood.
The assessments are the starting point. The day is where the team learns to use them on each other, and leaves with commitments they will keep.
Before
Everyone assessed
Each person completes their assessment online, about fifteen minutes. We build the team map: the styles in the room, where they cluster, where the gaps are, and what that explains about the last six months.
The day
A full day, your team only
Your own style and what it costs you. Reading the people across the table. Adapting how you ask, tell, decide and disagree. Communication under pressure, conflict without casualties, and the specific application for your team: selling, leading or serving customers.
After
Commitments, not a binder
Every person leaves with a one-page profile, a plain-language guide to working with each colleague, and a 90-day commitment reviewed with their manager. Follow-up coaching is available for leaders who want it.
Where it fits
Three ways teams use it
Pick the team and the depth. The assessments and the day are quoted to the size of the team and the assessments chosen.
Leadership teams
The people who run the business
DISC + Motivators and the 360s for a leadership team, then a day on how the people at the top communicate, decide and hold each other to account. Often the first step before Executive Performance Coaching.
Sales teams
The people who sell
DISC and Sales IQ Plus for every salesperson and the sales manager, then a day on reading the customer’s style, adapting the pitch and coaching each rep on the skill they are missing. Pairs with the Sales Masterclass.
Whole companies
Everyone, in one room
DISC for every person in the business and a company training day, so the way people communicate is a shared language rather than a daily negotiation. Delivered privately to your team, like every program on Build Your Team.
Curious what DISC is before you bring it to the team? Read the DISC overview, or talk about your team and we will scope the assessments and the day with you.

Thirty minutes. No pressure. You will leave knowing which one fits, or whether the trial is the right first step.
